In addition to stargazing, whale watching and viewing wildlife there are many opportunities to enjoy the local culture of West Marin and the Point Reyes area.
Several venues host live music including restaurants, bars and the local community center.
In addition to local live music West Marin has a fine community radio station that broadcasts in the West Marin area on 90.5 FM and 89.9 FM. You can listen on line via the web at www.kwmr.org.
Programming includes many locally hosted talk programs as well as a great line up of evening music programs. KWMR also hosts several benefits throughout the year including art shows and concerts. Check the web site for updates.
Visit the following links to view event calendars for local venues. For many of the events at Toby's Feed Barn it is a good idea to visit the Point Reyes Books web site for poetry and literary readings as well as benefit concerts for local organizations.

Painters and photographers delight, West Marin is blessed with amazing natural beauty which includes the California coast-line, wonderful hidden trails surrounded by protected forest and open rolling hills kissed in summer with golden hues, in winter with amazing greens, topped off with verdant oaks. And then there is the wild life (birds, deer, elk, big cats, sea life not to mention the ever present not so wild cows) that stimulates so many artists' imaginations. Bring your paints or camera and spend a weekend having fun and then take it home! Have your own private workshop or attend a class. Some ideas, though not inclusive, include:
