Point Reyes Lodging is an association of individual properties offering a diversity of lodging options including traditional bed and breakfast inns, cottages, lodges and luxury suites. Each property is locally owned and operated in beautiful West Marin at the gateway to the Point Reyes National Seashore. We are located less than an hour from San Francisco and the Napa/Sonoma wine country.
Point Reyes Station, the largest of the villages in the area is home to Cowgirl Creamery, the Point Reyes Farmers Market, KWMR radio and Marin Organic. There are many shops and galleries as well as fine restaurants, delis and two coffee shops. Nearby the towns of Olema, Inverness and Inverness Park also contain shopping areas and dining for local visitors.
Enjoy kayaking, hiking, horseback riding and bicycling in and around the Point Reyes National Seashore. Point Reyes is a wonderful spot for whale watching, viewing wildlife including the elephant seals, tide pools and Thule elk. Kayak and bicycle rentals are available locally in Marshall, Inverness and Point Reyes Station.
Visitors to the area should stop at the Bear Valley Visitor Center, headquarters to the Point Reyes National Seashore and walk the historic Earthquake Trail or visit the Morgan Horse Ranch. Rangers are on duty to guide visitors to hikes and historic sites throughout the Point Reyes National Seashore. The visitor center is where the Bear Valley Trail originates where visitors can easily hike to the coast and Arch Rock, a perfect place for a picnic lunch.
